This flint pebble contains a wonderfully detailed impression of a Prinonocidaris echinoid interambulacral segment (test fragment). It’s rare to find impressions featuring more than a few individual areole (the circular shapes to which the spines attached in life). No preparation was required, the specimen was found as shown; it is one of only four I’ve found since the mid 1980’s.
