A stunning and relatively unworn internal flint mould of a Conulus echinoid found in the late 1980s by my sister Naomi Shepherd along Littlehampton’s West Beach. Conulus are far less common than the oval shaped Echniocorys echinoids featured in the gallery section of this website, perhaps as few as 1:30 in terms of a discovery ratio. Of those discovered this is by far the best example I’ve seen.
